Clarion Nameplates & Data Plates

Custom or Off-The-Shelf

Custom Nameplate Label Example
Custom Machinery Nameplate Label Example

Clarion can customize data plates to your exact specifications. The entire layout (as well as all field names) can be modified as you require.

We can also produce your data plates on a wide variety of materials including:

  • In-stock or customized aluminum plates with blank fields that allow you to stamp in data.
  • Polyester labels that have a write-able overlaminate for you to fill in.
  • Polyester labels with polyester or scratch-resistant Lexan® (polycarbonate) laminate with your data filled in using our digital production capabilities and information you supply to us in Excel spreadsheets

Serialization Capabilities

Clarion can also supply all of your custom serialized safety label needs! We are one of the few places in the world that is able to produce high quality individualized custom-serialized overlaminated die-cut labels including data plate labels and individualized arc flash labels (see our arc flash section for more information on customized arc flash label templates). Our digital production presses allow you to change the data in any field on every label. The end result is that each individual label is capable of containing different information!

Aluminum Data Plates Example
In-Stock Aluminum Data Plates
Clarion stocks this generic data plate in .020 aluminum with white background except where the data is to be stamped on the plate. The areas for stamping are left in natural aluminum.
Standard Data Plate:
No. DP-20 = 3.6" x 3"
No. DP-21 = 2.25" x 2.7"

Order Serialized Labels in Four Easy Steps

  • Tell Clarion what you want your label to look like (we have templates available).
  • Tell Clarion which data fields are fixed (will not change) and the information that goes into each field.
  • Tell Clarion which fields are to have variable data (data that will change for each label) and how you will supply Clarion with this information.
  • Tell Clarion how many labels you require and your choice of materials:
  • 3M polyester base material with clear polyester overlaminate (Clarion's premium quality standard material).
  • 3M polyester base material with clear velvet textured Lexan® polycarbonate overlaminate (for improved scratch resistance).
  • 3M polyester base material with clear 3M weatherable overlaminate (for improved outdoor durability).
Data Matrix Barcodes Example

Data Matrix Barcodes

Data Matrix barcodes use a pattern of unique black and white squares and a perimeter pattern to encode what can be tremendous amounts of data. With the capacity of holding over 800 characters of information, these codes function as a unique identifier and are now required for most military contracts. What is particularly interesting about this form of symbolic coding is that even if a good portion of the label is destroyed, a large amount of data can still be read. Use of these code labels can give each of your individual parts or products a specific, unique identifier. Clarion now offers data matrix barcodes as part of our line of serialized signs and labels and our full digital capability means that every identification code can be different.
