Clarion’s CEO to be Featured Expert in Panel Discussion on Warnings

Posted by Bethany Savage | 26th Jan 2016

Here at Clarion, our expertise doesn’t stop at our safety sign and label products – we’re proud to be “go-to” experts in visual safety communication as well.

Our latest upcoming industry event: Clarion’s CEO, Geoffrey Peckham, and chair of the ANSI Z535 committee, will be a featured expert at the Defense Research Institute’s (DRI) 2016  Product Liability Conference. DRI’s 3-day seminar takes place February 3 – 5, 2016 in New Orleans, Louisiana and is an educational and networking event offering insight from in-house counsel, marquee trial and appellate lawyers, and other product liability experts.

Geoffrey will be part of a two-hour roundtable discussion on  product safety labeling and how adequate warnings can help defense attorneys win lawsuits. Joining him on the panel are Steven Hall, a senior consultant at Applied Safety and Ergonomics and chair of the ANSI Z535.4 Subcommittee on Product Safety Signs and Labels, Eric Junginger a partner from the law firm Hanson Bridgett LLP, and Cal Burnton, a partner from the law firm of Steptoe & Johnson LLP who has earned a national reputation for defending complex product liability and mass toxic tort cases.

With two leading experts from ANSI Z535, the committee responsible for the primary safety label standard in the U.S., and well-qualified legal expertise, the presentation and roundtable discussion will give voice to the perspectives of some of the most prominent thought leaders in the field of on-product warnings.

Stay tuned here on the Clarion blog to find out more ways we’re working to promote a better understanding of today's best practices in product safety labeling and facility marking systems.
