Emergency Stop Legend Plates

Both European and U.S. standards (EN 60204 and NFPA 79) require emergency stop buttons to have a yellow background panel behind them. Clarion's high quality scratch-resistant velvet textured polycarbonate legend plates satisfy this requirement and meet IEC 60073 Coding Principles for Indicators and Actuators.

Clarion's standard legend plates are offered in three outer dimensions with your choice of hole size to fit either the standard 22mm or standard 30mm switch sizes offered by Allen Bradley, Square D, EAO, ABB, and other E-Stop switch manufacturers. If needed, we can make customized plates with different wording or different dimensions.

Note that both NFPA and EN standards consider the words "EMERGENCY STOP" to be optional.
