Loading Dock Procedure Safety Signs

Loading Dock Procedures

1910.178(k)(1) is clear on loading dock procedures: The brakes of highway trucks shall be set and wheel chocks placed under the rear wheels to prevent the trucks from rolling while they are boarded with powered industrial trucks.

Avoid accidents and make sure both drivers and other loading dock personnel know the proper procedures. We recommend a sign for each access point to the dock, as well as at least one large sign in the general dock area.
