Paul Mayhan, FS Eng (TÜV Rheinland, #609/12, SIS) CSME®

Director of Safety Assessment

Paul Mayhan is a Director of Safety Assessment at Clarion Safety Systems and Machine Safety Specialists (a Clarion Safety Systems Company) and has over 20 years of experience with safety systems for industrial machinery, processes control, compression systems, and power generation. Paul holds both a Bachelor and Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University. Additionally, Paul is a TÜV Certified Machine Safety Engineer (CMSE®) as well as a TÜV-certified process control safety engineer (SIS).

Paul provides safety surveys and reports for industrial plants and machinery, consultation for abatement, and prevention of OSHA violations, and control reliability studies. Paul has specified, designed, or commissioned more than 100 safety systems globally, including in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, the UK, and several other countries.

Paul primarily works with industrial clients and OEMs to review drawings, risk assessments, and ensure compliance with the ANSI B11, NFPA 79, OSHA 29 CFR 1910 Subpart O, or ANSI/ISA-84 standards. As an experienced control system engineer, Paul enjoys working with clients to perform detailed reviews of control system/guarding plans, ensure compliance with applicable standards, and improve workplace safety.
