REACH

If your company plans to sell its products to the European Union (EU), a REACH regulation label may be required for your product. The EU uses the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemical substances (REACH) label for items with chemical substance properties. The EU requires companies to register the chemicals and processes used in creating the products. The regulation has been in force since June of 2007. The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) handles the registrations, enforces procedures and evaluates substances. Check with the ECHA to see if the chemicals used in making your products are REACH compliant. The ECHA can help you determine what your REACH responsibilities are once you have submitted the registration paperwork. The ECHA’s main concern is the health and safety of its residents. Many Clarion Safety labels are compliant with REACH. Use our labels as part of your REACH compliant processes. A fully compliant product can eliminate fees and issues with the ECHA and EU.
