Video: The Link Between Assessments and Safety Label Best Practices

Posted by Bethany Stadelmann | 23rd Mar 2015

Are you sure your safety labels are up-to-date? Good news: here at Clarion, we've produced a video explaining product safety label best practices and how the assessments we offer can help you to comply with the latest domestic and international standards.

Take a look at our quick, 2-minute video, Safety Label Assessment Process, where we explain the importance of today's standards and the process of keeping labels current and compliant.

It may seem a little intimidating to get up-to-date with the latest standards and figure out how best to warn about a product's hazards. When you know what you're doing, it's an easy process, says Clarion's CEO, Geoffrey Peckham, who also chairs the ANSI Z535 Committee for Safety Signs and Colors and the U.S. Technical Advisory Group to ISO Technical Committee 145 Graphical Symbols.

As part of the assessment process, we work with companies to evaluate their labels. This means reviewing the latest OSHA, ANSI and ISO standards, considering label materials and their labels anticipated environment of use and durability requirements and then providing best practice recommendations.
