Title: Maximizing Your On-Product Warnings: Understanding Symbol-Based Warnings in Modern Equipment Design
Date: Tuesday, January 27, 2026
Time: 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM EST
Format: Live, online webinar with Q&A

Join us for this complimentary webinar exploring the current state of product safety warnings and the growing use of symbol-based and wordless label formats in modern equipment design. As global standards continue to evolve and harmonize, manufacturers are increasingly asking when symbol-only warnings are appropriate and how they fit into a broader risk reduction strategy.

This session will examine how ANSI Z535.4 and ISO 3864-2 are applied in real-world product safety labeling, with a focus on effectiveness, compliance, and liability considerations.

Topics include:

  • Recent and upcoming changes to ANSI Z535 and ISO 3864-2 standards

  • How symbol-only and wordless warning formats are addressed within ANSI and ISO

  • Common misunderstandings around symbol use and effectiveness

  • The role of warnings within the hierarchy of controls

  • How on-product warnings complement engineering controls and safeguarding

  • Considerations for global audiences and standardized symbols

  • What to expect from the upcoming 2027 ANSI Z535 revision cycle and how to prepare

The webinar will conclude with a live Q&A, giving attendees the opportunity to ask questions specific to their products and applications.

Presenter: Angela Lambert, Head of Standards Compliance at Clarion Safety Systems. Angela brings more than a decade of experience in product safety and liability and serves in leadership roles across ANSI and ISO committees. She is Chair of ANSI Z535.1 Safety Colors, a member of the ANSI Z535 Committee, part of the U.S. Technical Advisory Groups to ISO/TC 145 and ISO/TC 283, and the liaison representative between those committees.
