Communicate Chemical Hazards Clearly and Effectively
Clarion Safety’s health hazard labels are designed to identify proper handling and storage procedures for hazardous materials, aiming to prevent harmful contact. These labels encompass warnings related to chemical hazards and are essential for maintaining safety in environments where such materials are present.
Standard and Custom Labeling Solutions
The standard labels shown in our catalog contain content that is general in nature - providing an overall sense of the hazard, recommended avoidance procedures, and available formats. However, many of our customers rely on Clarion’s customization services to develop labels that communicate highly specific safety information tailored to particular substances, processes, or equipment configurations. Contact our team of standards-trained experts to start a custom project!
Compliance with ANSI, ISO, and GHS Standards
With over two decades of leadership in ANSI’s U.S. technical advisory group to the ISO committee responsible for standardizing safety symbols, we understand the importance of standardized graphical symbols in safety messaging. The Globally Harmonized System (GHS) of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals, adopted by OSHA, provides a common language of symbols for chemical hazards. Incorporating appropriate GHS symbols on product safety labels ensures consistency and clarity in hazard communication, even for equipment products not directly covered by OSHA’s chemical labeling requirements. We strongly encourage our customers to use the appropriate GHS symbol(s) on their product safety labels when potential chemically-related hazards are present.
Collaborative Labeling for Equipment Manufacturers
In cases where equipment manufacturers may not have detailed knowledge of the specific materials their customers will use, general warnings might not suffice. Clarion Safety offers collaborative services to work directly with your customers, developing labels and signs that accurately reflect the processes and potential dangers associated with hazardous materials in their specific applications.
